Malton Charity Shop celebrates 20 Years of trading since it was opened in 1992

Many , many people already know -for those of you who don’t – our Charity Shop in Newbiggin , Malton opened in 1992 – it continues to go from strength to strength thanks to the wonderful support we receive from our volunteer staff – and to the tremendous support we receive from the many, many people who visit our shop – and – never seem to leave empty handed.

we always have a great selection for sale bric-a-brac, clothing, shoes, hats, childrens clothing and toys together with many different items which we are delighted to say continue to be donated by both local residents and many others from out the area.

Without the continuing loyalty our charity could not survive and this would impact on the support we offer to our local hospital in Malton by the way of providing vital and much needed equipment.

This year, we are absolutely delighted to be able to say that – Shop takings are a record .

“Our Shop”
Continues to be regarded and looked upon by many as

  • a place with lots to choose from
  • a place to pick up a bargain
  • a place to see old friends
  • a place to catch up on the “Gossip”

We are very fortunate indeed in that we have a great band of volunteers who are loyal to our local charity and endeavour to report for work week after week . We are so grateful to all of them. They provide a wonderful service to customers and help to create a very homely place for people to visit.

Finally to anyone wishing to donate goods please make sure they are in good saleable state as even though we are a registered charity, we do not attract any dispensation for the removal of unwanted or broken items.
Each year this costs us more and more money which could otherwise be used to support YOUR hospital.

Thank-you

Shop Opening Times : Monday – Saturday 9.00 am -4.00 pm

THANK-YOU .. THANK-YOU to all who

  • venture through our shop doorway
  • visit us week after week
  • generously donate items
  • sometimes, find and buy a bargain
